Refund Policy - the basics
A Refund Policy is a legally binding document that defines the relationship between Portraits by Jase and our clients regarding refunds, rescheduling, cancellations, and final products. Photography services are unique and often based on time, preparations, and creative work. Because of this, refunds do not operate the same way they do in typical online retail.
Some jurisdictions require businesses to outline refund terms clearly in order to comply with consumer protection laws. This policy also protects both you as the client and Portraits by Jase as the service provider.
The goal of this policy is to set expectations and avoid misunderstandings about deposits, cancellations, missed sessions, and digital product delivery.
Refund Policy for Portraits by Jase
1.) Non refundable deposits
All sessions bookings require a deposit to reserve your date. This deposit is non refundable. This protects the time and preparation that go into planning your session and ensures that your scheduled date is held exclusively for you.
2.) Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please notify us as soon as possible.
- Cancellations do not qualify for a refund of the deposit or session fee.
- Rescheduling may be allowed when reasonable notice is provided and availability permits.
- No refunds will be issued for last minute cancellations or missed sessions
Weather related rescheduling is handled on a case by case basis depending on the type of session.
3.) No refunds for completed sessions
Because photography is a creative service that relies on time, labor, editing, and digital delivery, sessions that have already taken place are not eligible for refunds.
4.) Digital products and galleries
All digital images, edited galleries, and downloadable files are final. Once images have been delivered, they cannot be refunded. Digital products cannot be returned in the same way physical items can, so all sales are final.
5.) Product Satisfaction
If you have any concerns or are unhappy with your final images, please contact us. While refunds are not issued for creative products, we will gladly discuss possible solutions, retouching needs, or alternatives that may help. Portraits by Jase will not release any RAW files or unedited photos to the client as Portraits by Jase are the sole owners of the photos and will only deliver work that they believe is final.
6.) Session No Shows
Clients who do not arrive for their scheduled session without notice forfeit their deposit and any paid fees. No refunds will be issued.
7.) Gift Cards and Promotions
Gift cards, special offers, discounted sessions, or promotional pricing are final and non refundable.
8.) Changes to Pricing or Services
Pricing and offerings may change over time. Refunds are not issued for differences in pricing if rates change after your booking.
9.) Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy affects your legal rights under applicable laws. This policy exists to clarify expectations and protect the business relationship between Portraits by Jase and our clients.
